Chad Benson is the 14th president of Morningside University and a 1990 Morningside graduate whose career spans more than three decades of executive leadership in technology, financial services, and emerging artificial intelligence ventures. Prior to being named president in 2026, Benson served as interim president, leading key initiatives including the acquisition of St. Luke’s College, expansion of workforce-focused academic programs, and modernization of the university’s enterprise systems. A Harvard Business School alumnus and former chair of the Morningside Board of Directors, Benson is recognized for his values-driven leadership, commitment to workforce development, and focus on connecting education, employers, and communities to create opportunities for students and strengthen the region’s future talent pipeline.
